From a loyal customer and fan
“I came across Jurby Junk this year by sheer fluke. I wanted to see the new prison and was told it was only minutes away from these shops which have 3,000 sq ft of junk and also 3,000 sq ft of books - my idea of pure heaven!”
Stella was surrounded by paraphernalia, model miners, cats and hens, and her own paintings and poetry.
We spent a couple of hours chewing the fat and I never got to visit the prison.
But I took home one of Stella’s hats as a consolation.
I did, however, find out that Stella was looking to sell the business and being fearful she might sell it to some storage company, I found myself putting in an offer! It was too low for Stella – she’s a person who knows her own mind and won’t be swayed from a decision once taken. The good news though is that it looks like she’s found someone to take on the bookstore and Jurby Junk will continue in her capable hands.
